ICPL announces addition of LexisNexis® Library Express research tool to online resources.

LexisNexis Library Express now makes the same professional results available to Iowa City Public Library cardholders. This powerful, easy-to-use, Web-based service is a unique combination of news, business, and legal information.

This new service allows patrons access to over 9,500 news, business, and legal sources. The outstanding news coverage includes deep backfiles and up-to-the-minute stories in national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and foreign-language sources.

Library Express News Sources Include:

• Full-text of more than 350 newspapers from the U.S. and around the world, many same day of publication, plus extensive archives going back over 25 years for some publications. Coverage includes national papers such as the New York Times and Washington Post, regional U.S. papers, and a wide range of English- and foreign-language papers from around the world.
• More than 300 magazines and journals and over 600 newsletters, including: American Journalism Review, Business Week, The Economist, Library Journal, New Republic, Newsweek, and Variety

The Iowa City Public Library offers access to a number of online resources including subscription databases (such as LexisNexis) on a great variety of subjects. Access to subscription databases from anywhere but the Iowa City Public Library requires a current Iowa City Public Library card and a password and because of licensing restrictions are available only to residents of Iowa City and of areas covered by contracts for library service: rural Johnson County and the cities of Hills and University Heights.
