AUCTION GUIDELINES
Payment for live and silent auction items may be made by cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard, before you leave the event on May 2, 2010.
If you are part of a group that successfully bids on an item, and individual group members want to receive a charitable gift acknowledgment letter for tax purposes from the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, each member of the group must make his/her own payment. The Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation cannot accept one payment on behalf of the group and later divide tax receipts among the group members. The gift acknowledgment will go to the person(s) making the contribution.
For example, six people are members of a successful bidding group. In order for each of the six people to receive a donation acknowledgment from the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, each person must make his/her separate payment before leaving the auction.
