Prescription drug drop-off, disposal event in Iowa City
Johnson County residents can bring expired and unused pharmaceuticals to the Grant Wood Elementary School parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
On Saturday, April 30, at Grant Wood Elementary School, the Iowa City Public Library and the Landfill, Engineers for a Sustainable World, the University of Iowa School of Pharmacy, the Iowa City Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency will sponsor another Take Back Day where the public can bring their expired and unused pharmaceuticals [...]

On Tuesday, April 19, the ICPL catalog will be temporarily unavailable from approximately 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. while upgrades are made to the system. BOOK MARKS are coming to town
Iowa City Public Library staff and volunteers invite you to join them in sponsoring a very special BOOK MARK Statue to help build the library collection.
A new public art project celebrating reading and writing will be unveiled in the City of Literature this June. BOOK MARKS Book Art in Johnson County™ will feature five-foot tall statues depicting books and literary themes.
