The Iowa City Public Library is offering four Kindle eReaders for checkout starting Friday. The eReaders come preloaded with eBooks to read. This will allow patrons to have a hassle-free eReading experience. There are two eReaders loaded with popular Adult titles and two eReaders loaded with popular Children’s titles. Just search “Kindle” or “eReader” in our catalog at http://catalog.icpl.org/ to see if one is available for check out.
ICPL Kindle eReaders Now Available:
• 3 week loan period
• $1.00 a day overdue fine
• Patrons may place holds
• Available for checkout to residents of Iowa City and areas covered by contracts for service (Hills, University Heights, and rural Johnson County).
• The eBooks on this device are limited to the titles preloaded on it. Other titles cannot be downloaded through OverDrive or Amazon.
• Some of the eReader’s functions, such as web browsing, have been disabled.
